Simeon Jackson agreed terms to return to the Club for the 2021/22 campaign in July 2021. Alongside re-joining the first-team squad, the Canadian striker will also have coaching and community responsibilities. As Head of Coaching, Simeon will work with all the Chelmsford City teams across all age groups and genders. The 35-year-old attacker will also be a Community Ambassador for the Clarets, supporting various community projects that the Club has. Jackson returns to familiar surroundings at the EMG Inspire Stadium, having made two appearances for City during the 2020/21 season. Having scored one goal in two appearances, Simeon made the switch to Vanarama National League side King’s Lynn Town after the National League South was halted. During his time with the Linnets, the Canadian scored six goals in 17 National League appearances. The forward is vastly experienced, having enjoyed impressive spells with Rushden & Diamonds, Gillingham, and Norwich City during the early part of his career. Across spells with various clubs, Jackson has now played in all the top six English football divisions, the Scottish Premiership, and the German Bundesliga. For his national side, the 35-year-old attacker has made 49 senior appearances for Canada. He was Chelmsford City’s top scorer last season with 14 goals.
