Chelmsford City v Slough Town, National League South, EMJ Community Stadium, Saturday 30th November 2024, 3:00pm kick-off.
Chelmsford City play at home for the first time in three weeks when they welcome Slough Town to the EMJ Community Stadium this Saturday.
Since losing at home to Dorking Wanderers at the beginning of the month, Robbie Simpson’s side have played four consecutive games on the road, and will be keen to get back to winning ways on home soil.
Scott Davies’ Slough Town side have won three of their last five league matches and are searching to register back-to-back away wins after recording an impressive 3-0 victory on the road at Chippenham Town on Tuesday.
Team and match stats:
- Only Dorking Wanderers (42) have scored more goals than Slough Town (36) in the National League South this season.
- Scott Davies’ side are unbeaten in their last three clashes against Chelmsford City (W1, D2).
- Simpson’s side have still not played a league game this campaign against six of their fellow National League South sides, however Saturday’s game will mark the Clarets and the Rebels’ second and final meeting of the regular 2024-25 season.

Opposition:
Berkshire-based Slough Town have enjoyed a productive 2024-25 season up to now.
Since recording an opening day home win against Chelmsford City, Scott Davies’ men have continued to go from strength to strength and look in contention to be at the right end of the table for the remainder of this season. The Rebels sit 7th in the table ahead of this weekend’s game, having picked up 31 points in their first 19 league games of 24-25.
Scott Davies has continued to operate as the Rebels’ player-manager and remained a mainstay in his side’s starting XI. Davies was an unused substitute during Slough’s midweek win against Chippenham Town, but had featured in all but one of his side’s league games prior to Tuesday.
Another constant in Slough’s team this season has been midfielder Henry Ochieng, who is yet to miss a National League South game in 24-25. Ochieng played 29 league matches in a claret shirt last season and has gone on to establish himself as a key player at Arbour Park since his arrival in Berkshire during the summer months.
Team news:
Jazzi Barnum-Bobb and Babajide Bunmi will be available to play on Saturday after being cup-tied for Tuesday’s BBC Essex Senior Cup clash against Billericay Town.
We are pleased to announce that following an appeal, the red card issued to Archie Tamplin last weekend’s game vs Worthing has been rescinded, meaning he is eligible to feature against Slough Town. We would like to thank the FA and the appeal board for the swift action and decision.
