Chelmsford City can announce that central-defender Frankie Terry has been recalled by his parent club, League Two Colchester United.
Terry, who celebrated his 19th birthday in the past week, made 22 appearances for the club and scored his first senior goal in the victory over Slough last month. His form has impressed new Colchester United manager, Ben Garner, with Terry winning multiple Man of the Match awards in recent weeks for the Clarets.
Chelmsford City manager Robbie Simpson commented, “We’re devastated that Frankie’s gone back especially in the same week that Cambridge have recalled Kai Yearn. In the last month everybody has seen what a good player Frankie is becoming and he absolutely loves playing for Chelmsford City and you can see that in his performances.
Colchester have a few injuries in Frankie’s position and they are depleted so they have brought him back but maybe when those injuries clear up, he’ll be allowed back out to us. However, if that’s not the case we thank Frankie for his efforts and we wish him all the best. He’ll always be welcomed back to Chelmsford City.”
