We are delighted to announce the signing of Midfielder Oscar Thorn!
20-year-old Oscar Thorn joins on loan from fellow Essex side Colchester United. Oscar has National League South experience as he featured for Bath City on loan last season. Oscar started out with Norwich City before he switched allegiances and joined Colchester United in January 2023. Since joing the U’s he has featured out on loan as mentioned as well as for their academy side.
Manager Robbie Simpson said: “We have been an admirer of Oscar for a couple of years now and have had some great reports from the like of Elliot Ward, who has coached him at Colchester since leaving us, and they’ve got really high hopes for him there.
We saw him last season on loan at Bath and he had a really good impact.
He is big, quick and direct, an old fashioned winger that works his socks off both with and without the ball.
We’re really excited to get Oscar with us and welcoming him to the Clarets as we help him on his journey to become a consisted football league player whilst in return we hope he provides goals and assists for us!
