Chelmsford City v Weymouth, National League South, EMJ Community Stadium, Saturday 21st December 2024, 3:00pm kick-off.
Chelmsford City welcome Weymouth to the EMJ Community Stadium on Saturday for their final game before Christmas.
Having lost their last two National League South games on the bounce, City will hope to return to winning ways at the weekend and send the Claret Army home with an early Christmas present.
Weymouth arrive in Essex searching for their third National League South win of the season, and will be managed by Warren Feeney, who was appointed as the Terras’s new manager earlier this week.
Here’s all that Clarets fans need to know ahead of the game…
Team and match stats:
- Both of Weymouth’s league wins this season were secured away from home.
- Chelmsford City have won their last four matches against the Terras.

Opposition:
Weymouth arrive into Saturday’s game looking to reignite their disappointing season so far. The Terras’ third consecutive campaign in the sixth tier has had more downs than ups until now, with the Dorset-based side sitting bottom of the league table and seven points adrift from safety.
Despite Weymouth’s struggles this season, the Clarets will need to be cautious of their potential threats on Saturday. The Terras’ two league wins this season have both come away from the Bob Lucas Stadium. Weymouth overcame Dorking Wanderers at Meadowbank in September before winning in Essex against Aveley last month.
The Terras’ hierarchy and fans will also hope that Warren Feeney can inject a new managerial bounce into his players ahead of kick-off. The 43-year-old has replaced Mark Molesley in the Terras’ dugout, who was sacked at the end of last month following his side’s disappointing start to the season. Northern Irishman Feeney won 46 caps for his country in a playing career which saw him represent the likes of Bournemouth and Plymouth Argyle at club level. He most recently managed NIFL Premiership side Glentoran, and has previously been in the Welling United dugout at National League South level.

Team news:
Freddie Hockey is a doubt for Saturday’s match, having missed City’s midweek Essex Senior Cup win over Waltham Abbey after picking up an injury last weekend against Hampton & Richmond. Arthur Penney made his first appearance since November when he started against the Beavers.
Ryan Blackman and Ruaridh Donaldson are continuing to progress in their recoveries from respective injuries.
