After joining the Chelmsford City Academy following a spell with Colchester United, Freddie has gone on to establish himself as a regular fixture in the club’s first team set-up.
Hockey scored his first National League South goal in March 2023 against Worthing and capped off an impressive 22-23 campaign by signing a multi-year deal with the club.
In the 2023-24 season, Hockey continued his development as a dependable first team player by scoring seven goals in 32 National League South appearances. Hockey’s haul of goals included a memorable brace against Bath City in December 2023, which sealed a dramatic comeback win for Robbie Simpson’s 10-men Clarets side.
Hockey will continue playing in Claret during the 2024-25 season.
