We can confirm that Head of Recruitment Adam Drew has agreed terms to be part of Angelo Harrop’s backroom staff for the 2025-26 season!
Joining in May 2022, Adam Drew has played a large role in the club’s recent success through his recruitment. Prior to working with the Clarets, he had a season with Lewes in the Isthmian Premier Division. Before that he had spells with Maldon & Tiptree, Heybridge Swifts and Concord Rangers. Working at Heybridge Drew helped assemble a side that reached the FA Cup 1st Round, FA Trophy 2nd Round and the Isthmian North playoffs and then the following year he was involved with Julian Dicks’ playoff winning side. As well as that his spell at Concord saw them reach the 2020 FA Trophy final at Wembley where the Beachboys lost 1-0 to League Two outfit Harrogate Town.
Adam said: “I’m really pleased to be staying. Obviously, everyone knows it’s a club close to my heart. I really wanted to stay, and I think that going full time is really exciting. It’s a great time to be involved and can’t wait to get going.
“I love a new challenge, and it is with the new manager coming in. Being full time is quite exciting as well. It’s a totally different concept to what I’ve been used to with the two evenings but yeah, just literally can’t wait to get going now.
“The recruitment obviously will be totally different because it will be tough to get lads that have obviously got jobs and playing part-time financially but on the flip side of that the opportunity to get full-time pros and like the lads being released, the full-timers, it’s a new challenge.“
Angelo Harrop said: “I’m over the moon that Adam Drew has decided to stay at the club as our head of recruitment.
“His role at the club will no doubt be one of the most important with the amount of work we need to get done in the market this summer.
“Already over the last few weeks Adam and I have been non stop meeting and talking to players.”
We look forward to seeing Adam continue his excellent work with the Clarets!
