We are delighted to announce the signing of Defender Arthur Penney!
21-year-old Arthur Penney joins after a successful spell at Lewes, where he picked up Manager’s player and Player’s player of the season. He started his footballing career at Millwall, where he was from the age of 9. He has had National League South experience, playing 19 times for Welling United in the 21/22 season, scoring once. He becomes the 4th signing this summer to join from Lewes, following in the footsteps of Tamplin, Oguntayo and Kalala.

We fought off some stiff competition from pretty much every club in and around the London area, clubs in our league as well as clubs below us with big budgets and even sides from the National League.
We managed to get Arthur in to play 45 minutes against Billericay on Tuesday night and it was great for me, obviously I have heard loads of great things about Arthur and had watch footage of him but to see him in the flesh to be honest I knew with his first action I was desperate to sign him!
He is a Rolls Royce of a player really, he is mature beyond his years on the pitch and I am absolutely delighted that the hard work from Adam Drew and the rest of us has paid off and we have secured his services.
