TRANSFER NEWS

We can confirm that Louis Dunne has had his loan with Hayes & Yeading extended, whilst Mo Bettamer has been recalled.

Louis has spent the last month on loan with Mark Molesley’s side, featuring 7 times so far. Manager Robbie Simpson said “Louis is doing really well, he feels like he is getting back up to the level required.

Now, he does not want to drop off so, with an option to recall him, it makes sense for him to stay and keep match ready until we feel like we want to reintroduce him into our squad.”

We wish Louis the best of luck whilst out on loan!

Mo Bettamer has left the club with Hayes & Yeading choosing to activate his recall option. Bettamer played 21 times for Chelmsford, scoring 5 goals. He has been sidelined with injured most recently, last featuring in the league on November 20th against Maidstone United.

Robbie Simpson said “With Mo, it was always in agreement with both sides that if Hayes & Yeading wanted to recall him it was down to us to let it happen or not.

Mo struggled a little in pre season and the early parts of the season but found some rhythm with us until he picked up an injury which set him back.

With the emergence of Freddie (Hockey) in that period, there will be limited opportunities for Mo and I think it is best suited for him to go back to Hayes & Yeading and get regular gametime to get back to the level he knows he can be at.

We thank Mo for everything he has given for the Clarets, he has given his all and played through the pain often, not to mention he is a great bloke and a great personality.

We wish him the best and he will always be welcome back here!”

We would like to thank Mo for all his efforts whilst in a Claret shirt, and wish him all the best for the future!
