We are delighted to announce the signing of Defender Bradley Williams!
22-year-old Bradley Williams joins after a successful few years with Carshalton Athletic. In total, Bradley featured over 130 times, including wearing the armband on multiple occasions. Last season he picked up 16 goals and assists from midfield as Carshalton finished 12th.
Manager Robbie Simpson said: “Brad has been one of our number 1 targets since the end of last season.
He had a top season last year as well as his previous few at Carshalton and he has been widely regarded as one of the best players in that league for the past few years.
He has been in with Sutton all pre-season and I know that they thought very highly of him and if the circumstances were different then they probably would have signed him.
That has presented a real opportunity for us, a very similar situation to Jermaine Francis last year where he was in at Barnet for pretty much all of pre-season and then at the last minute he became available for us to sign him.
We have kept in touch with Brad for the past 3 or 4 weeks whilst he has been there and we are absolutely delighted that Brad has chosen to come to us on the next stage of his footballing career.
I am positive that Brad will become a professional footballer and I am even more confident that we can help him achieve that.
We are really pleased to have someone of Brad’s calibre and experience with us.
