Chelmsford City FC Announces Landmark Sponsorship Deal with EMJ (European Medical Journal)
EMJ becomes front-of-shirt sponsor in one of non-league football’s biggest commercial deals
Chelmsford, Essex – 21st June 2025 – Chelmsford City Football Club is proud to announce a major new sponsorship agreement with EMJ (European Medical Journal), which will see the global healthcare communications brand become the club’s primary sponsor and front-of-shirt partner for the next three seasons.
The seven-figure deal, believed to be one of the largest ever signed in non-league football, marks a significant milestone in Chelmsford City’s long-term ambition to build a Football League-ready club both on and off the pitch.
Under the terms of the three-year agreement, the EMJ brand will feature prominently on the home, away, and third shirts worn by the Chelmsford City first team, as well as across the club’s digital and physical platforms. The partnership will also support fan engagement initiatives, community projects, and player development at all levels.
Spencer Gore, Chairman of Chelmsford City FC and CEO of EMJ, commented:
“This is a landmark moment for Chelmsford City. EMJ is a fast-growing, internationally respected brand that shares Chelmsford City’s values of ambition, excellence, and community. This partnership is about much more than a logo on a shirt – it’s a statement of intent. We’re building something special here, and this investment gives us the platform to push for promotion, invest in our infrastructure, and grow our fanbase in the Chelmsford community and beyond. There is no question that this is a new era at this football club.”
The partnership with EMJ further cements Chelmsford City’s reputation as one of the most ambitious and exciting clubs in the National League system.
More details, including the launch of the new 2025/26 home and away kits featuring the EMJ branding, will be unveiled in the coming weeks.
