As I continue to review everything that happens at the club with the help of Keith Moule, one of the first areas both Dan and I are looking to change is to have a board of directors to help us with the governance of the club, help set the vision for the club and a plan to achieve that. They will also help oversee the management of the whole club with a view of protecting the interests of all stakeholders. These positions will be Non-Executive roles and purely on an advisory basis with the aim of helping us steer the club in the right direction.
I have had a number of conversations with key individuals regarding joining the board, some names you will all be familiar with, others not currently connected to the club but all of whom have huge value they can bring to CCFC.
I am pleased to announce that our first Non-Executive Director to join the board is David Selby, whom I’m sure most of you will already know as someone that knows the club inside out and comes with a wealth of Chelmsford and Non-League knowledge. We will be announcing more members over the next week or so but in the meantime, I’d would like to welcome Dave to the board.
We are also starting to look at the structure needed in place to run the club on a day to day basis and hope to have that finalised within the next few weeks.
I look forward to keeping you all up to speed with developments on a regular basis as and when there are key messages to report.
Up the Clarets.
