Chelmsford City is delighted to announce that midfielder Charlie Ruff has won the Vanarama National League South Player of the Month award for October.
Ruff, 23, scored in 4 of the 5 games that he played in October, with strikes against Cheshunt, Hemel Hempstead and Eastbourne in the Vanarama National League South and then the opening goal against Aldershot in the Emirates FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round.
Former FA Trophy winner with Hornchurch, Ruff has also become a fan favourite at the Melbourne Stadium with his array of tricks and inventive passing also catching the eye of spectators and that as well as his goal-scoring has impressed the judges. He is also Chelmsford City’s second-top goalscorer this season with 7 goals in all competitions so far.
Ruff also scored the 92nd minute equaliser against Barnet in the Emirates FA Cup on November 5th to set-up the replay tonight at the Melbourne Stadium (kick-off 7.30pm).
