Prior to joining Worthing, he spent a few years with Ebbsfleet United and won the National League South with them in 2023. He also secured promotion with Oxford City whilst on an emergency loan. As well as that, he spent time with fellow Essex-based side Concord Rangers. Haigh was part of their FA Trophy final side in 2021, and picked up man of the match in that game at Wembley. Away from playing football Chris runs his own Goalkeeper Coaching business in Essex.

Upon joining the club, Haigh said: “I’m absolutely buzzing, glad to get the deal over the line.

“I’ve had some really good discussions with Angelo and the way this football club is heading is really exciting and I’m looking forward to getting started.

“It’s clear for everyone to see that this club wants to go places, the future is bright and I’m looking forward to achieving something special.”

Manager Angelo Harrop said: “I’m delighted that we’ve been able to secure Chris’ signature. His track record speaks for itself, he’s technically outstanding and suits the DNA of this Football Club.

“He is a very experienced goalkeeper at this level and will be the difference for us next season in some games, that is for sure. He is used to doing that and winning games so we hope he can continue that with us.

“He has an outstanding work ethic so I’m looking forward to getting to work with him and having a success season.”

A big warm welcome to Chris and we look forward to seeing him in action!
