This Sunday the Chelmsford City Women’s First Team face a Tiptree Cup semi-final tie at the EMG Inspire Stadium.
The opponent for Simon Horne’s side is Frontiers, with the fixture kicking off on 17th April at 1:30pm and the game free to enter.
City’s cup fixture tees up an exciting final few months of the season, with the Clarets in another cup semi-final and boasting a 100% record in the league.
Last weekend, their passage to the League Cup semi-final was secured in a 4-1 victory over Corringham Cosmos, with Southend United Community as the side’s next opponents on 1st May.
In the league, the title appears as though it will go to the wire, with the Clarets having won all of their games but played two fewer matches than Lawford Ladies in pole position.
After 18 games in all competitions this term, Horne’s side has claimed 16 victories while suffering two cup defeats, scoring 106 in the process and conceding 23.
Of the top 25 scorers in the Essex County Women’s Football League Premier Division, five are City players.
Making the list is Bec Hollocks, Abi Woollvin, Shannon Kelly, Helen Alder and Emma Rushen.
