Dunmow Group is proud to announce its new role as Platinum Partner and Stadium Sponsor of Chelmsford City Football Club, marking a historic collaboration between two local institutions rooted in community and ambition.
As part of the partnership, the stadium will be called ‘The Dunmow Group Community Stadium’ following Dunmow Group’s acquisition of the naming rights.
The agreement, which sees Dunmow Group become Chelmsford City’s Platinum Sponsor for the next three years to 2028, underscores a long-term commitment to supporting local football. As part of the sponsorship, The Dunmow Group logo will proudly appear on the front of the stadium, with additional branding featured prominently around the pitch.
Chelmsford City, affectionately known as “The Clarets,” has a rich history dating back to 1938
and currently competes in the National League South. The club supports teams across all levels, from Under-7s to the First Team, championing development across the male, female and disability community player pathways.
Dunmow Group’s commitment to local investment and community impact made this partnership a natural fit. Just as the Club supports the growth of players and fans alike.
“Sponsoring Chelmsford City aligns perfectly with our values,” said Sam Malins, CEO of Dunmow Group. “The club sits at the heart of Chelmsford, just as we aim to be at the heart of our community. We’re excited to support a team that shares drive and passion, especially as the season welcomes new signings and fresh ambition.”
Spencer Gore, Chairman of Chelmsford City FC, added,
“I am proud to reveal that this 6-figure partnership with Dunmow Group is the second biggest sponsorship deal in the club’s history. But this is more than sponsorship, it’s about making a difference together. This partnership is built on a shared enthusiasm for delivering value commercially and for the community.
With our five-year roadmap to reach the Football League, we’re positioning the club for long-term success. But we are as committed to using football as a force for good as we are to promotion. This means expanding our youth academy, supporting girls’ and women’s football, growing our community outreach through the Chelmsford City Foundation, and deepening our ties across schools and local charities.
Partnering with the Dunmow Group, a well-respected Essex business, aligns perfectly with our mission, combining visibility with purpose, and brand growth with regional impact. Having known Sam well for a several years now, it’s great to be working together on such an exciting partnership.”
This partnership reinforces Dunmow Group’s continued dedication to supporting the people and places that shape Essex. It builds upon both organisations’ shared goal of creating a better, more united future on and off the pitch.
