DUNNE JOINS HAYES & YEADING ON LOAN!
Midfielder Louis Dunne has completed a months loan move to South League Premier Division South side, Hayes & Yeading United. Dunne suffered a long term injury away at St Albans, in December 2022. He has been on a long rehabilitation scheme, seeing him feature for Coggeshall on loan, in the Essex Senior League. A first appearance back came for Chelmsford, as he started against Saffron Walden Town, in the Tolleshunt D’Arcy Memorial Cup.
Manager Robbie Simpson spoke about the loan move: “Louis is now full fit, back in the fold, as he was like in the game against Saffron Walden.
That was kind of like his last rehab game and now he is back fully fit and ready. I had a conversation with Louis after the game Friday and he feels as if he is fully fit but needs to get his match sharpness to the level that is required.
He wants to keep playing, as he has been out for a long time and he wants to continue playing football. It is tough when you have been out for so long and have to wait for an opportunity to get into the team and he definitely wants to continue his playing time at a decent level.
Then, he will come back and be really ready to go. So we have agreed that he is going to go out for up to 28 days at Hayes & Yeading and hopefully he will come back to us at the match level, and the match sharpness that we know he can produce.
It will be a great loan move for both clubs.”
Everyone at Chelmsford City wishes Louis the best of luck at Hayes & Yeading, and looks forward to seeing him return to the Clarets!
