After our emphatic 5-1 victory over Welling United we hosted our annual end of season award ceremony, here’s a roundup of who won what awards!

Firstly, Mickey Spillane handed the Academy player of the year award to Lester Ward. As well as recently making his league debut for the first team, Lester has continued to impress for Spillane’s academy side and has also impressed for Rob Moore’s U21s side. His time in the academy has coincided with dual registration spells this season.

Next, Rob Moore handed the supporter’s Young player of the season to Archie Tamplin. Tamplin has solidified his space in the Chelmsford City midfield this season after joining last summer from Lewes. He has partnered with many other midfielders but helped to form the engine room which keeps the Clarets ticking.

After that, Archie swooped another award as Gary Foulger handed him the Away Coaches player of the season. This award consisted of the supporters clubs’ away coaches man of the match votes added up.

Next, Club Captain Cameron James presented the player’s player of the season award to Kane Crichlow. Prior to Charlie Ruff’s brace in today’s game, Crichlow was the clubs leading top scorer and the only player to net a hat trick for the club this season.

Crichlow was called up once again as Manager Robbie Simpson named him as the Manager’s player of the season.

We then watched the 10 nominated goals for the goal of the season award, with goals varying from individual brilliance to fantastic team goals. Finley Wilkinson’s solo run against Hornchurch was award the goal of the season, with Finley thanking the Claret fans for their votes through a video message.

Finally, Kane Crichlow made it a hat trick of awards as he won the supporter’s player of the season award.
