Chelmsford City are delighted to confirm the signing of Eze Ebuzoeme following his departure from fellow Essex outfit Billericay Town
The 24 year-old midfielder joins the Clarets having come through the academy set-up at Millwall before spells with Hastings United, Getafe CF (Spain), Hayes and Yeading, Whitehawk, Eastbourne Borough, Carshalton Athletic, Ramsgate, and Kingstonian before joining his most recent club Billericay Town in July last year.
Manager Robbie Simpson shared his thoughts on Eze signing for the Clarets “Eze came to our attention, he was playing for Billericay last year who had a decent enough season. Things didn’t go their way in terms of them wanting to bounce straight back up, but that was always going to be tough. Eze definitely stood out for them in the middle of the pitch.”
“He’s a very dynamic player and he gets about the pitch well. One of the best things I like about him is he’s very two footed. He’s got a great range of passing with both feet. I’ve even seen him take set pieces one with his right foot and then goes across the other side of the pitch and takes a set-piece with his left foot, he’s that two footed which brings about many advantages especially playing in the middle of the park.”
“If fans want to liken him to two players we’ve had recently, I’d say he’s maybe a cross between a Henry Ochieng and a Devonte Aransibia. A hybrid of those two so to speak. And I hope that excites them as much as I’m excited to see Eze in a Claret shirt and working with him and hopefully progressing his football career.”
We look forward to welcoming Eze to the Melbourne Community Stadium for the start of the new season
