We are delighted to announce the loan signing of Finley Wilkinson!
22-year-old Finley Wilkinson joins on loan from National League side Barnet. Wilkinson is an attacking midfielder who has spent time out on loan this season in the National League and the National League South. He featured for Braintree in the opening stages of the season before moving on loan to St Albans City. Finley spent his youth career with Ipswich but caught the eye of Barnet after 16 goals last season at Hitchin.
Manager Robbie Simpson said: “With Osman’s loan ending and our injury troubles at the top end of the pitch with Freddie and Jordan, we were looking for an attacking option.
“We’ve looked at Fin previously, he played against us for Barnet in pre-season and we liked him.
“Barnet signed him off the back of a really good season with Hitchin and he was actually on our radar but obviously Barnet signed him.
“He’s been on our radar since really, he has had a few loan spell, one which maybe did not work for either parties but we really like Fin.
“He can play in any of the front 4 positions, he is direct and a brilliant finisher, Barnet regard him as the best finisher at their club.
“We’re really excited to have Finley with us and hope he can hit the ground running and buy into everything we’re about.”
