Chelmsford City can announce that central-defender Frankie Terry has been recalled by his parent club, League Two Colchester United.
Terry, who rejoined on loan from Colchester over the summer, made 4 appearances for the Clarets this season, to go along with the 22 he made on loan last season. Terry was recalled by Colchester United on 4th March 2023 after new manager Ben Garner came into the club but was allowed to re-join City on loan in August. Due to a number of injuries and suspensions at the back, Colchester have decided to bring Frankie back for their squad.
Clarets Manager Robbie Simpson spoke on Frankie Terry’s recalling: “Obviously it is not great timing with Frankie just coming back from his injury and Dave Winfield getting injured, it is not a great timing for us.
Frankie is Colchester’s player and they’ve had some injuries and suspensions and they want him in their squad for the upcoming game at least. Really good luck to Frankie, we hope he gets a chance and go show what he’s got to offer there. However, obviously it is not great for us but that’s football.”
Everyone at Chelmsford City wishes Frankie the best of luck!
