We are delighted to announce that we have agreed to sign Defender Harry Barbrook upon the expiration of his contract with Ipswich Town!

The 20-year-old will join the Clarets when his contract with Ipswich Town expires at the end of June. Harry will be returning to the club, having spent the second half of last season on loan from the Tractor Boys. During his spell he made 18 appearances across all competitions. Prior to that he had been on loan with Lowestoft Town, obtaining regular football. His arrival sees him link up with Angelo Harrop once again, having had a loan spell with the Iron at the back end of 2023.

Upon joining the club, Barbrook said: “It’s really good to be back at the club, I really enjoyed my time here both as a fan watching Finley and during my time on loan last season.

“It’s going to be exciting to work with Angelo again as well as getting to work with the rest of the staff, most of who I know already.

“I’m just really excited to be back and I’m looking forward to getting going again!”

Manager Angelo Harrop said: “I’m over the moon to bring Harry back to the club ahead of the upcoming season.

“I watched him multiple times during his loan spell at the back end of last season and I thought that was outstanding at the back.

He is another young player who comes with massive potential so I can’t wait to get to work with him this season.”

A big warm welcome to Harry and we look forward to seeing him in action!
