We are delighted to announce the signing of Defender Jack Turner!

20-year-old Jack Turner joins the Clarets and returns to Essex after a stint with Burnley. Formerly of Barking FC, Jack was snapped up by Burnley at age 18, and he headed North. Originally from Romford, Jack returns back to Essex as he links up with the Clarets!

Manager Robbie Simpson said: “Jack has been with us for just over a week now and has performed every so well!

He was at Burnley previously but he is from Essex originally so he is very local and came with a glowing recommendation.

A former coach of mine, who is now a coach at Burnley, knew Jack was from Essex and as we still keep in touch he recommended we take a look at Jack and he has done ever so well!

Particularly the other night in the MK Dons game I thought his talking and leadership in the back was superb and against a top striker like Ellis Harrison who has proven how good he is in the football league – he done a really good job against him.

He is a lovely kid, he will be great and will only get better and better as he is still young.

He will be a big presence back there for us but he is also very good technically on the ball so we hope we are going to bring the best out of him and develop him and help hi on his journey back into the football league whilst he helps us achieve our goals.

We are really looking forward to getting Jack closer to us and part of us and moving forward together!”

Welcome to the Clarets Jack!
