Chelmsford City FC are delighted to announce that Defender Cameron James has agreed a deal to see him continue to play his football with the Clarets into the 2024/25 Season!

Manager Robbie Simpson said: “I am absolutely delighted that Cameron has agreed to stay.

For me, last season was his most consistent season in terms of his performances but he obviously missed a large chunk at the start from his injury suffered in the previous years playoff game.

When he came back he was brilliant and if I think back to the run that we went on in the middle of the season, he was a real big part of that and we are really looking forward to continuing Cameron’s development into a real top performer.

He has been with us a number of year now and he is very much someone who sets the culture in the changing room, he is very much an influence in that regard and when you get someone like him you need to show your best to keep them around.

We are delighted that Cameron had decided to stay with us and we are looking forward to the season ahead with him.”

We look forward to seeing Cameron back out on the pitch in a Claret shirt for the upcoming campaign as well as being back out with the squad at the start of Pre-Season!
