We are delighted to announce the signing of Versatile Midfielder Josh Castiglione!
The 28-year-old rejoins after a season with St Albans City. Castiglione came through with Royston Town, appearing over 200 times across as a 6-year period with the Hertfordshire based side. Josh was a fans favourite with The Crows, departing in 2021 to join Hemel Hempstead. Across 2 seasons in the National League South, he played over 70 times for the Tudors, captaining the side on occasions and netting a few goals as well. He initially joined the Clarets in July 2023, going on to be a key part of a record-breaking team. His versatility saw him play on both wings, both fullbacks and in the number 10 position. Most notably Castiglione made some memorable moments, scoring a 99th minute winner away to Welling in August before a Goal of the Season winning strike against Bath City later on in the season.
Upon joining the club, Castiglione said: “It’s great to be back at the club, it’s going in a great direction.
“The backing that we’ve got and the players that we are bringing in, it’s really exciting.
“Be with us every step of the way, it’s going to be an exciting season so we’re going to need you.”
Manager Angelo Harrop said: “I’m really happy to be Josh back to the club, I’ve been very impressed with him every time I’ve played against him in the past.
“The fact that he plays multiple positions and very well is a massive bonus, he can cause trouble and put a shift in numerous places on the pitch.
“He’s been a real fans favourite at every club he’s played for, he’s got a great character and will be a great addition to the team.”
