We are delighted to announce the signing of Midfielder Kane Crichlow!
23-year-old Kane Crichlow joins the Clarets after a season in the National League North with Bishops Stortford. The Bermudian midfielder holds a very good international record, having scored 7 goals in 11 appearances for his nation. His footballing career started at AFC Wimbledon before he moved to Watford. He stayed there for 2 years, making his professional debut in the EFL Cup for the Hornets. A trip to Greece was next, before he played for Stortford last season. Most notably, Kane scored 5 goals in 1 game as Stortford thrashed Aldershot 6-1 in the FA Trophy.
Manager Robbie Simpson said: “We are delighted to sign Kane, he has been with us since the start of the season and has got better and better each training session and each game.
In all fairness to him, he is someone that we just could not ignore, holding a great pedigree from Watford and he has a taste of step 2 last year and scored 5 in 1 game as well!
He knows where the back of the net is and is really intelligent in his play and because of that he can literally play anywhere across the front, or in the middle.
Every good squad needs a player like that, who can play in a number of different position and Kane certainly has the technical ability and the athleticism and footballing brain to do that.
He has done so well in pre-season for us that we are absolutely delighted that he has decided to accept our offer.
We are really looking forward to him being part of our squad!”
Welcome to the Clarets Kane!
