We are delighted to announce the signing of Defender Kian Ronan!

The 24-year-old joins the Clarets after a 2-year spell with Kings Lynn Town. He reached the National League North playoffs last season, making 29 appearances and scoring 3 times. Prior to his time with the Linnets, Ronan played in Gibraltar for Lincoln Red Imps. He picked up 3 consecutive Gibraltar Football League titles, as well as 3 other cup trophies. He is also a Gibraltar international, making 41 appearances for his country to date. His footballing career started with Ipswich Town, having worked his way through their youth setups, featuring in the FA Youth Cup. During his time with the Tractor Boys, he picked up non-league experience with Mildenhall Town and Leyton Athletic before his departure. In between leaving Ipswich and playing for Lincoln Red Imps, Ronan played for Manchester 62, also in Gibraltar. His time with The Red Devils of Gibraltar saw him score 6 times in 13 appearances, as he was utilised as a makeshift striker.

Upon joining the club, Ronan said: “I’m really excited to be here, Angelo really sold the project of the club to me and that was something that really aligned with what I would like to do in football.

“I’ve always been full time so that was a massive plus to me and it is more local than my previous club.

“I was buzzing once we’d got the deal over the line and I can’t wait to get going!”

Manager Angelo Harrop said: “I’m really delighted that we’ve been able to sign Kian, he’s someone who we have ben monitoring over the past few months.

“He’s got a wealth of experience for both club and country and comes off the back of a good season with Kings Lynn.

“I’m looking forward to getting to work with him come pre season!”
