A FEW CLUB LINKS
A product of the Arsenal academy, Rhys Murphy actually left the Clarets in 2019 in order to join Yeovil. Since then, he has had a spell with fellow Essex side Southend United, before rejoining Yeovil. His time with the Clarets saw him smash goals in, getting 25 in 38 league games. With Yeovil, he scored 29 in 54, before his recent return for a second spell.
THE MANAGER
A man with much experience of both the pitch and in the dugout, Mark Cooper, is in charge in Somerset. Making over 457 career appearances for the likes of Exeter, Fulham, Birmingham and many more, he has an excellent knowledge of the game. His managerial career has also seen him manage well, with the likes of Peterborough, Swindon and Barrow. He did oversee Yeovil’s relegation, but he will be hoping to bounce straight back up.
2022-23 SEASON
Having been in the National League for a few seasons, Yeovil were finally out of it, but not in the correct direction. Finishing 22nd, they were 10 points from safety and saw Torquay and Maidstone join them down into the National League South.
