Joe Grimwood joined the Clarets in June 2025, after winning promotion to League 2 with Barnet. His promotion winning campaign made it 3 in a row, having won with AFC Sudbury and Braintree Town as well. At Sudbury he progressed through their youth ranks, becoming club captain in March 2022 in the Isthmian League North. A year later they were promoted through the playoffs, which Grimwood would go on to do a year later with Angelo Harrop at Braintree. After winning Manager’s Player of the Year, he joined Barnet and was part of their promotion-winning side. He also has a brief spell with Braintree again on loan, impressing which helped get him into the side at Barnet.
