Chelmsford City FC is proud to announce a landmark moment in the club’s history: the official integration of Chelmsford City Women into the wider club structure. For the first time ever, Chelmsford City Women will be fully affiliated and will play every home game at The Dunmow Group Community Stadium, at Melbourne Park.
This move represents a significant step forward in uniting the men’s and women’s game under one badge, one vision, and one club.
“We are delighted to officially welcome the women’s team into the Chelmsford City family after a year of discussions,” said Spencer Gore, Chairman of Chelmsford City FC. “This is more than just a structural change — it’s a commitment to equality, opportunity, and growth for all players who represent our city.”
With both the men’s and women’s teams now competing at Step 6 in their respective pyramids, it’s fitting that they’ll both call Melbourne Park home — with the men playing on Saturdays and the women on Sundays. This shared home ground brings the club closer together and allows fans to enjoy back-to-back Chelmsford City action every weekend.

We have always been proud to represent the community of Chelmsford and now, as part of the whole club structure, we look forward to being able to move female football in the direction it deserves” said Simon Horne, Women’s section Chair and First Team Manager, “Being able to continue to use Melbourne Stadium as our home gives us the facilities which will allow us to push further up the pyramid and enables the younger members of the club to have a clear vision of the pathway ahead. With the club’s backing, the future is exciting!”
The integration will bring shared resources, joint commercial partnerships, and an aligned vision for success on and off the pitch.
