Chelmsford City Football Club are delighted to announce that Defender, Jazzi Barnum-Bobb, has committed to remain with the Clarets

Barnum-Bobb has made 81 appearances for the club across two spells. He first joined the club in March 2018 having left Newport County before departing for Wrexham in July 2019. Jazzi made his Clarets return in July 2022 joining from Dulwich Hamlet and the 27 Year-Old has now committed to remain in Essex ahead of the new season. In 2022/23 Jazzi made 44 Appearances in all competitions, playing a key role as a part of the spine of the squad. Jazzi has represented his National side Saint Vincent and the Grenadines 4 times after making his debut in June 2022.

Manager Robbie Simpson shared his thoughts on Barnum-Bobb re-signing “Delighted that Jazzi has agreed to stay with us next season. He played a lot of games last year and if you look at the wins we had out of everybody in the squad, he was involved in the most amount of wins for us last year, whether that be starting or coming off the bench, which tells it’s own story. He’s flexible in terms of being able to play down that right side, or even on the odd occasion when we were going for games he played right of a back three, so he’s got that flexibility. He’s got exactly the right character that we want and his character was a huge part of our success last year, both on and off the pitch what he brings is second to none. We are delighted that Jazzi has decided to stay at the club.”

Jazzi spoke about how he felt signing on for the new Season “I’m buzzing to be back on board for the new season, hopefully we can go one better than last year. I’ve loved seeing all the boys that have re-signed and the new boys coming in, it looks like a strong squad we’re building yet again. I can’t wait to get started”

We look forward to seeing Jazzi back for Pre-Season ahead of the new campaign
