We are pleased to share that the home changing room refurbishments were complete in time for the start of the new season.
A huge thanks goes the supporters club and the chairman Jordan McManus for agreeing to fund a significant portion of the project.
General Manager Phil Crowe said “The changing room refurbishment project had been on my radar since joining the club, I had spoken to Robbie & Mickey and several players who had all expressed the desire for improvements to the changing facilities.
I knew of a company who had carried out several projects similar, once they had given us the costs I had to move quickly to secure their time during the close season, thankfully Jordan, in turn, acted quickly with the supporter’s club committing funds which enabled me to instruct the contractors to start.
The completed project is fantastic and really shows our commitment to make CCFC an enjoyable club for players to play at, I am really pleased with how they turned out”.
Manager Robbie Simson went on to add “A huge thank you to everyone who made this happen. The players spend a lot of time in the changing room at training and games, and I think it’s fair to say the old changing room had seen better days. Now we have a ‘modern era’ changing room and one the players love and feel comfortable and proud of. So, a big thank you once again!”
Chairman of the Supporters Club Jordan McManus commented “The Chelmsford City Supporters’ Club are delighted to have partially funded the new home changing room improvements which we hope will provide a huge benefit to the players and management team on match and training days. Thank you to all supporters that have contributed to the 12th Man Fund which has covered our contribution towards this project. We will shortly be announcing our new fund to replace the 12th Man which will allow us to help fund future projects for the benefit for all stakeholders involved in Chelmsford City Football Club”.
