A message from, Reserves Manager, Marc Stephan after news that he has chosen to take a step back

I have been at Chelmsford City since 2009, at first as a supporter, then in 2014/15 as a coach. It’s a club I quickly fail in love with, a club that made me feel I was always brought up on.

To be part of Chelmsford City it is something special, I learned so much over years, it felt like I only just started yesterday my coaching journey. Now I look back and can be really, really, proud of what I achieved. It meant so much to me to have managed/coached for Chelmsford City and to be part of our academy. There were tough moments, of course, but I would not change it for the world.

The staff have been brilliant, ever since I joined the club. I have so many coaches, backroom staff, fans and supporters to thank for helping me throughout my time in the club.

I must say Robbie Simpson and Mickey Spillane have been different class. They made me feel valued, really at home and a big part of the team. Steve Bennett was fantastic as well; to have that backing from them was just great.

I have loved every minute of being at Chelmsford City. I will still be going to Chelmsford games when I can and supporting the lads, always. I want Chelmsford to be brilliant. It has been a fantastic ride and I am so grateful to everyone at this great club.

Up The Clarets!
