Chelmsford City can confirm the departure of winger Adam Mills.

Mills joined the Clarets on May 20th 2023, following 2 successful season with Leiston. He had also featured for Needham Market, Maldon & Tiptree, Sudbury and Braintree Town. The 26-year-old departs having made 11 appearances, scoring 2 goals.

On the opening day of the season, he was named named on the match, on his competitive club debut. His 45th minute, outside of the foot, strike secured all 3 points, as the Clarets beat Farnborough 1-0. He would then find the net again, 28 days later. Away to Yeovil, he pounced on a loose ball in the box and gave City the lead, before an equalising goal came minutes later and the points were shared.

Manager Robbie Simpson spoke on Mills’ departure: “A big thanks to Adam for his time with us. He has given it everything but he feels like it is time for him to move on and get some guaranteed gametime elsewhere.

We’re disappointed that it has not quite worked out as we would have liked but a big thanks to Adam for his effort and we look forward to seeing him thrive in another environment.”

Everyone at Chelmsford City wishes Adam the best of luck for his future!
