Chelmsford City Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Midfielder, Jermaine Francis following a successful period on trial at the club
Jermaine, 21, most recently played for Hashtag United in Step 4 where the Tags were promoted from the Isthmian North Division as Champions in 2022/23. Francis came through the youth set up with Chelsea before joining Coggeshall Town prior to playing for the Tags. He links up with Robbie Simpson’s squad to bolster the team
Manager Robbie Simpson commented on the new man “Jermaine is a super talent coming up from the league below he had an amazing season with Hashtag United last year. We’ve known about him for a number of years now and we’ve monitored him and his progress. He spent the majority of Pre-Season at Barnet and we know that they really liked him and he was close to getting a deal there so we are delighted to get him. He’s been with us for a few weeks of Pre-Season, he’s really settled in with the lads really well and it was just the case of reaching an agreement both with Jermaine and with Hashtag. We’re delighted to finally get it over the line and have him with us, we’re really looking forward to Jermaine progressing in his career with us.”
