People may have seen the KitAid stall at our game against Maidstone, where Barry Neal was present. We donated a wide range of shirt to KitAid, to be sent to various charities.
What is KitAid? – KitAid is national charity, in its 25th Anniversary Year, dedicated to finding a new home for your unwanted kit & equipment in areas of the world where football is loved, but participation is held back by a lack of access to kit & equipment. KitAid works with projects supporting some of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable communities in the world – projects supporting education, skills training and those seeking to prevent harm. We know the power of football and its force for good in people’s lives and hence the strapline – ‘It’s more than Just a Shirt …’
We thank Barrie for his time at the game, and he spoke to us in behalf of KitAid:
“A substantial and quality kit contribution this evening from Chelmsford City FC – massively appreciated. A substantial donation extending the life of the kit once enjoyed down here in Essex, now beginning a journey to a new part of the world, where the game is loved, but is held back by a lack of access to kit and equipment.
